The human body was never meant to sit in front of a screen or desk all day. We used to spend our days being active. Our bodies need exercise. Even if it’s just hiking, sports, lifting, etc., any type of healthy has tremendous benefits.
Not only does exercising and being active help build and protect our physical bodies, but it also helps us take care of our minds as well. It helps calm and relaxes our minds, while also helping us stay more focused throughout the day.
For people who are considered hyperactive, being fidgety and restless could be common problems. With exercise it’s possible to get rid of the feeling of restlessness, after exhausting built up energy. If a person has trouble sitting still, it is worth putting together some sort of exercise routine. Exercising during the day can also help us sleep better at night, which helps improve modes and increases confidence.
Regular exercise aids in longevity, and normally helps us live a healthy life longer.
There are three types that I would recommend people find something suitable for: Endurance, Muscle Resistance, and a form Self Defense training.
Endurance training is any kind of exercise that requires the body to use the cardiovascular system heavily, for longs periods of time. This can include running, cycling, swimming, or walking. Even playing sports helps with cardio. My favorite sport for endurance training is hiking because it brings me to nature.
Muscle building or muscle resistance training is any kind of exercise that puts a lot of weight or force on your muscles. This includes weightlifting and calisthenics. This is pretty much what body building is. Going to a gym and lifting weights is actually a great way to meet like-minded people, as well.
Self-defense is anything that protect yourself. Depending on where you live there may be different laws, but this category ranges from martial arts to target sports. All these types of sports teach a certain type of discipline and focus, while also providing ways for us to defend ourselves.
